Draw Your Generation S

"Draw Your Generation S" held by Tak Ngai Development for students with special learning needs to give back to the society in addition to participating in the mask design competition.

We invited The Society Of Boys' Centre Chak Yan Centre School and Fortress Hill Methodist Secondary School to join us in this campaign. Both schools are specially designed for SEN children, and their facilities and environment are different from other primary and secondary schools. With the goal of unleashing children's potential, the school provides different extracurricular learning opportunities for children to learn easily. Tak Ngai Development selected two outstanding designs from each of the two schools. Tak Ngai Development meant to provide a opportunity for the SEN children to print out their creations as a charity sale. It is hoped that through this process, the children’s sense of accomplishment can be improved and let them know that the society welcomes them very much.

The primary school students who participated in the design at The Society Of Boys' Centre Chak Yan Centre School used their fingers to draw, which is simple, direct and full of colors at the same time, hoping to make everyone aware of the need of communion between one and others, thus breaking the stereotypes and concepts in society. In line with the concept of children helping children, a group of special education needs (SEN) primary school students gathered their fingerprints and added a little creativity to design this meaningful mask, hoping to get social attention. The mask payment will be used to help other SEN friends after deducting the cost.

The middle school students who participated in the design at Fortress Hill Methodist Secondary School created designs with rich patterns based on the basic elements of three-dimensional and spatial composition of points, lines, and surfaces. This kind of point, line and surface design metaphors the need for everyone in a healthy society to give full play to their strengths and connect each other to help each other, in order to maximize their effectiveness. People should accept, appreciate and respect each other when living together, and share the rights and obligations of society together. True communion through practice depends on the participation and support of everyone in the society.
